What was with the renewed emphasis on Ameer Abdullah? Did they need more evidence he is not good?

Establishing the run, and things of that nature. Check the report.

Oh yeah no doubt, I'd rather establish the run with Tion Green.

Listen, Tion's gotta earn it, alright. He's gotta pay his dues, and things of that nature. So what if he's better and gets more production? Seniority and your place in the pecking order matter. A depth chart is a sacred thing that you set in stone before Week 1 and never deviate from it. Could you imagine the bedlam if someone could lose their job to a better player due to injury?

You can't. That's why you're not a head coach.

I'd rather they try with Tom Green

Good - I wasn't very confident in this team in the playoffs. Our defense is atrocious (everything but the secondary. its actually a good unit), we can't run the ball and we can't protect our QB. We weren't going far.

Had we went 10-6 Caldwell and JBC might have been back. Yesterday put that to rest

Eric Ebron - I'd prefer he put up consistent numbers for a full year but the last 4+ weeks of the season he's been fantastic. 8 mil is still a huge number for a TE but I think he's back next year.

Tion Green - Why the F don't they give him the ball more?

Ugly

Why wouldn't Caldwell challenge that Tate catch? What are the guys in the booth doing?

Our defense couldn't get more pressure on a mash unit?

JBC and his vanilla ass offense can exit stage right now.

I can't believe Eric Ebron is really the lone "good" from that game for me. If you would have told me that a month ago I'd have laughed.

Actually, Caldwell not putting players on the field are exactly why they have lost games and are not in the playoffs.

This isn't that fair. This was their season and he got 3 sacks. Now if he plays and gets 3 sacks next week, then I'm with you.

Which begs the question.....how much is Ziggy worth?

F-tag will cost about 17 million (almost 1/3 of available cap space...by current projections).....this seems like too much. I say offer him 12ish on a contract we can get out of after 3years

They lost the game due to the 10 second runoff and because Coldwell sucks and the long mediocre slide began.

I have a confession to make.. I've been a closet Lions fan for some time now. Something about that completely winless season attracted me, kind of like the attraction to car wrecks I suppose.
Primarily I'm a Bungles fan. Those stripes are so reminiscent of getting beat with a switch by mom at 9 years old I guess..
Anyway, reading this obituary of the game and your feelings towards your team, ownership and coaching staff could all be a copy and paste from Bungles fans about Mike Brown and Marvin Lewis..there's a lot in common with the Lions and Bengals other than just I-75 and the time zone.
Heck, most Bengals fans were openly rooting for the Lions to win and win big so our beloved coaching staff could be shown the door, but like the Lions the Bengals are owned by someone who has about as much interest in winning as I do about the new toilet paper embossing pattern of Family Dollar paper. They make money regardless of the team records. It's impossible to be accidentally stupid enough to lose money owning an NFL franchise..No, the stupidity is intentional and well thought out and planned.
It's a revenue sharing league where win and loss records don't matter. Somebody has to be the Washington Generals for their division so the big market teams have someone to beat on a regular basis. This is where my conspiracy theories come into play, but there's plenty of other reasons for those besides these two teams.
I'm an even bigger fan of Brian Touhey's thefixisin.net and the way he pretty much exposes the grift involved among team owners, the league and players..and the mob..
Well, anyway as a fan of both teams rest assured that Bungles fans most definitely feel your pain. It's not as if anyone is hanging their hats on this game. There will be no statues erected in honor of it..
The only championships our teams ever win are when we get the #1 over all picks in the following seasons drafts.. In that regard the Browns are the draft super bowl kings almost every season. We can't even suck enough to win that..
My condolences folks. I wish you had won and Marvin Jones had caught 5 70 yard TD passes.
