Will the Lions pull the trigger and fire Caldwell, that is the question.

The lions were bad in all aspects of a must win game. You fire everyone.

G: We will have a white Christmas this year!
B: Prater. Green owned Slay all day.
U: Running game again. Two sacks to end the season. Penalties at the most inopportune time. Stafford drawing his own men into a penalty.

Finally the season is over. If Caldwell is back next year, I'm not watching. I can't stomach another mediocre bunch of bums posing as a professional football team.

G - I didn't watch expect the last 4 minutes.
B - I need to get some potatoes for tomorrow
U - No one is very shocked. The odds are good that we have the same coaching staff next year

Only good:

This should be the end of Caldwell and his staff.

Yes, the Lions have some holes but Caldwell consistently brought out a team that underperformed and often looked overmatched by a lack of preparation. Too often wins had to come in the form of Stafford performing miracles, and that is not a model for long-term success.

As well, Caldwell's choice of coordinators was lacking. Cooter's offense was both vanilla and predictable and Austin's play calls often put defenders in the wrong position. On top of everything else, dissention among the ranks this season showed the coaching staff lost the locker room.

There are going to be a lot of top candidates available this year and Quinn deserves to be judged on a coaching staff chosen by him and not the leftovers from a previous failed regime.

If Quinn does not bring in a new regime then he is Martha's bitch and I will be done until she passes away and the Ford's are forced to sell the team because they can no longer dodge the tax of inheriting the team.

Seriously, this is what you get when 3rd generation rich people run shit. They are 3rd generation morons who can't run shit like a boss.

To be fair, he didn't hire Caldwell. That was the last GM.

Quinn is just as much to blame. The only question is can he get better? We know the rest can't.

Lions 7-1 vs sub .500 teams
1-6 vs .500 or better

It's the same thing every year....when you are content with mediocrity, you get mediocrity.

I wonder if I can find a judge that will decide that the Lions organization has to pay for my new liver.

The only good thing is I'm glad the Lions don't have to tease the fuck out of us just to get blown out in the 1st round of the playoffs.
