He should have been fired after the 9 men on the field 3rd down conversion in Baltimore. Actually he should have been fired after the 10 men on the field vs Minnesota. Regardless of what happens these last 3 games it's time to go Jimbo

The problem here is the people in charge have no clue about field presence. They are enamored with meeting presence.

But 9-7 he stays. 8-8 highly likely he stays too.

I was thinking about Caldwell's contract extension. I wonder if there's a trigger to the effect that, if he's the coach X days after the season ends, that the 2019 season would become guaranteed. Otherwise why would Caldwell agree to non-guaranteed out years.
Yep.

As far as the game goes, Detroit hasn't lost to a losing team all year, and Chicago doesn't win unless they get over 200 yards rushing. Detroit really needs to limit the run to come away with the win tomorrow.

I have a feeling the Lions is going to stink up Ford Field tomorrow. The Bears are playing much better than last time and I think having the Lions as 5 point favorites is a little too high.

Stafford is going to running for his life again due to Swanson and a few other guys on the starting OL out of this game because of injury. Not good.

I'm not going to even bother watching this game because this one got that feeling of SOL all over it. I may as well go watch the new Star Wars movie instead. The Lions aren't stopping Gordon Howard.

Stafford is the best player on the field. We win this one. Going forward we just need to protect Stafford and shore up one phase of football on defense. Stop the run or put pressure on the opposing QB.

Maybe, but it would have to be big blowouts. I think deep down Mainevent knows this.

I think the info about Caldwell’s contract getting leaked perhaps signals otherwise. We shall see. But I truly believe 0-3 shows him the door.

I’d like to think that a blowout loss to the Packers at home with a possible playoff bid on the line would do it as well, but that would mean a 9-7 season so doubtful.

Unfortunately the Lions can't do any of that. Don't see them doing it anytime soon.

I like what they did last week and Stafford didn’t get sacked once. If they can’t block then hold their man. I’d much rather lose 10 yards and replay the down then watch him get destroyed, lose 5-7 yards and the down

Once the Lions dumped Robinson, the pass protection improved.

Even when they had that LT whose name I can't remember playing. It was better.

Greg Robinson is horrible.
