Falcons (-3) @ Lions Gameday Thread- Let's Do It! Go! Go! Go!

Many think the Lions have no chance today. They think the Falcons will humiliate the Lions. They think the Lions win streak is over.

What?

Over?

Over?!

It isnít over until the Lions say itís over.

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor???!!!

We gotta take these bastards!

Letís do it! Go! Go! Go!

Go Lions!

I dunno if it'll be a humiliation, but the Lions are going to need to play loose, they're going to have to be willing to take chances, and they're going to need to play damn near flawlessly. The margin of error is not very large.

My keys to a Lions victory today.

Time for Matthew Stafford to step up and show the league again why he's the highest paid QB in the NFL. If he plays well the team plays well. Jim Bob Quinn is gonna have to pull off all the stops today if we want to win. Can't play a conservative game today or any excuse for it.

The crowd. Atlanta already said they will have a tough task dealing with the crowd noise today, so the fans will have to be a factor today. Ford Field is gonna have to get so loud to the point that the Falcons simply make mistakes and miscommunications and they have a tough time hearing in the Den.

The Lions must watch out for Freeman. The Falcons want us to double up on Julio Jones while they use guys like Freedman to shred defenses. If the Lions can take away the run, we will force Atlanta to beat us with short or deep passes but the problem with this is, they are stacked with alot players that can make plays. Slay is gonna need to work on Julio but he may need some help. That Atlanta offense is just loaded.

Sack Matt Ryan and keep their defense on the field. If we can pressure Matt Ryan and keep the Atlanta offense off the field, that will be huge to a Lions win while Matthew Stafford and company can can work on tiring out that Atlanta defense.

The Falcons can't seem to hold on to a 4th quarter lead to save their lives. The Falcons almost got beat by the lowly bears and allowed Arron Rodgers to make some late game TD's and that may be a little concerning if you're a Falcons fan, because the Lions and Stafford are at their most dangerous when it comes to a late game comeback and trailing front behind.

Those are my keys but honestly this game can go either way and the Lions have more to prove this week than the Falcons do, so the pressure is on the Lions. I honestly don't care if the Lions lose today but what I am looking for is a competitive game from them. If we can at least keep the game close and play with Atlanta hard to the end, that will show me that this team is really going somewhere and can compete with some of the best. If the Lions do somehow manage to pull out a win here, we all are gonna have to look at this Lions team a little difference.

I'll take the Lions to win this one in a close one by a game-winning FG. 27-24

The Falcons barely beat the Bears in Chicago....A pass off the fingertips of one of the Bears receivers in the end zone was the difference in the game....They arent as good on the road as they are at home.....It will be a good test to see where Lions are at though.

Reading that Glasgow will move to center. Zac Kerin will probably make the start at LG. Kerin is another Toledo dude the Lions have on their roster. Never started a game before, but has received playing time with the Vikings.

No Swanson and no Dahl? That sucks.

Next man up! Now we'll see if letting Thomlinson go to San Fran was a good move or not. I've never heard of Zac Kerin but the whole left side of our OL is suspect.

My heart says:
Lions 27
Falcons 24

My head says:
Falcons 37
Lions 27

Good teams play through injuries.

Win or lose, we find out how competitive the Lions are.

Zac will have to join Zach and make some plays.

Anyone know for sure if Zenner's dressing?

Go Lions!
