Wink 2017 Lions Forum Money League

It's getting that time again, I will be passing the commish duties to Smallwood this year, as he has graciously accepted it.

So who's up for it?

Chime in if you're in

If you played last year and don't want in this year, please let it be known

Still $50 to get in, as for the draft being auction or snake, not sure right now.
Maybe after the league fills up we can vote. I'm up for either personally.

Thanks.

In. You guys want to bump up the entry fee a little? $75 or $100?

I'll play again this year. Prefer snake, especially if it goes up to $100. Will give auction a try at $50 if that's the style everyone agrees on.

Wow, looks like not much interest. Too bad, this has always been a fun league.

It's only July. The draft is like 1.5 months away.

What are you talking about. This is my favorite thread, especially when people argue about the payouts at the end of the season

Well in years passed, the league would be started as early as June, because there is always an indecision about the draft day/time.

Before you know it, someone bows out because they can't make the draft and some won't play unless they can make it. So the last week or so we scramble finding a replacement or replacements which makes it tough on rescheduling the draft if need be. It's nice to have everybody in that's playing early so the draft day is not an issue.

Not to mention, we have a disgression about the fees and draft type.

I was thinking about taking the year off from FF. If you need a spot filled, tho, I'll play.

That's a yes from Forsh. He says the same thing every year until he gets the itch.

I do hear you though, Forsh. FF is my least liked fantasy sport by far. People don't have to pay any attention to their teams and can still win the league.

You want a true test? Roto baseball. Now that's all about skill. 162 game grind!

Btw, if anyone is interested I'm in a big money baseball league. $200 entry. Each transaction you make (add/trade) per player is another $5. We should have a spot available for next year.

I am definitely playing this year. I won a lot on the Duel and Kings sites for the first half of the season and then the crowd caught up to me. Still came out a lot ahead but some year long money leagues will keep my interest.

$$$ When and deadline?

BTW, I would really rather not do auction. If so, I'll let the computer pick my team.

Truth is the big thing for me is my Sundays are busier now. It's hard to make drafts and I don't pay attention to games like I used to

If you guys do a snake draft I'll play. I can see how it might be fun but I just don't have any interest in it.

Ha!

You know that's not happening. I'm starting to see guys in here saying that life is too busy to play these types of games. I was always there.

Not for me. Made a little over $3000 last year. Would have been more if I had stopped when I should have.

I love it. It helps in the beginning if you've been keeping up with what teams have been doing during the off season. Most "experts" base their early ratings on last year and adjust from there.

I base mine on where I see the OL and D giving them more chances to be successful and the changes around players. Then I adjust to history. Works in the beginning until they catch up.

You don't think I post all those articles because I like you guys, do you?

Actually I do. That was just funny.
