Also bear in mind that Stafford's wife or sister hasn't been running a countdown clock to the day Stafford gets to leave Detroit, and that he's already agreed to one extension and there's been no grumblings whatsoever that he's the slightest bit unhappy with his current career.

It seems safe to say that Stafford's going to be in a Lions' jersey for as long as the Lions want him to be and that money is not going to be an issue in the slightest.

Poor Gonz/DWT.

If the Lions were looking to replace Stafford when his contract expired, I think they would have made a qb a higher priority in the draft this year. The fact that they waited until the 6th round to take one makes me think that they most likely will extend him.

Never seen somebody so happy about being a loser - 60 years of futility guaranteed!!!! And you welcome it.

Maybe they could front load the first year to bring the amount down in future years.

_______________

To the chagrin (that means annoyance, Gonz and DimWiT) of the He-Man Stafford Haters Club, Stafford is the Lions guy.

I know, and that is why we are all looking forward to 60 years of NFL irrelevance, we are at 58 years and counting.

Oh and BTW why would Stafford being the Lions QB annoy me? It flat out doesn't, it doesn't make or break my day. As long as he's Detroit QB they'll never win a playoff, so what?

Then why are you obsessed over it?

Why can't you leave it alone?

Oh, wait. I know. You're nothing but a troll.

Because, It would be nice if the Lions were known for more than being perennial losers.

I may be a troll (in your feeble mind), but you're just an ass.

Really? We're back to this same discussion?

Thanks for making the new thread, dpatnod. Please put any responses to the Stafford discussion there.
