Jordan still has time to come around.. though there are few top picks that get off to a worst start.

We all know that his biggest weakness was his strength/muscle... and from what I have heard from mini camp Dolphins articles, Jordan has looked good. Like this one for example:
http://msn.foxsports.com/florida/sto...olphins-061914
4 game suspension, is it worth it for Jordan long-term as long as he doesn't do it again? I'm not sure how the body reacts long-term to the drugs that Jordan took, but yea... maybe it was worth it to get that strength.

Right now, Ansah > Jordan. But things can change over the next couple of years.

You wanted Stafford. I've got Ansah. No curses here.

I don't think he's at TY level yet. He hasn't taken his craziness onto the field like TY did.

Quote:
The offseason only grows colder for Josh Gordon.

NFL Media's Albert Breer confirmed that the Cleveland Browns wide receiver was arrested early Saturday on suspicion of DWI in Raleigh, North Carolina, per the Raleigh Police Department.

Gordon was driving while impaired and clocked going 50 mph in a 35 mph zone, police spokesman Jim Sughrue told NFL Media. He was arrested shortly before 3 a.m. ET and released on bond at approximately 6 a.m. Saturday.

"We are aware of the matter and are disappointed to learn of this situation," Browns general manager Ray Farmer said in a statement. "We will comment further at the appropriate time."

Asked to comment, Gordon's agent Drew Rosenhaus told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport: "Not at this time."

The Pro Bowler already was awaiting word on his potentially lengthy suspension for a positive drug test.

Rapoport reported Thursday that Gordon's suspension-appeal hearing will be held at the end of July. That appeal could be nixed if the NFL and NFL Players Association strike a deal on a reduced suspension for Gordon, but another arrest certainly clouds the future for last season's league-leading receiver.

It was just over a month ago that Gordon pleaded not guilty to a speeding ticket after he was stopped going 74 mph in a 60 mph zone. His passenger was cited for possession of marijuana.

Gordon, 23, was suspended two games and fined four game checks by the NFL for violating the league's substance abuse policy last year. He also failed at least one marijuana test at Baylor, leading to an indefinite ban.

Gordon has emerged as one of the game's most dangerous pass-catchers and brightest young stars on the field, but it's fair to wonder when he'll play his next snap.

I always felt bad for Young because he suffered from mental illness and that wasn’t his fault. On the other hand, I have much less empathy for Gordon as he has decided that getting high and driving drunk is preferable to playing football.

Thomas finds a new team every offseason lol..

People were saying Gordon would be suspended 1 year before his DUI today. I'm not sure what the punishment now could be.

DirecTV posts ad offering Sunday Ticket streaming services

7/16/2014 4:49:18 PM

An advertisement recently posted on DirecTV.com said Sunday Ticket, which airs every out-of-market game, is now available to stream live directly to computers, phones, tablets and gaming consoles, Marissa Payne of the Washington Post reports. The company, however, has made no official announcement.

Unlike the WWE Network or even Netflix or Hulu, every household might not be eligible for the streaming services. I put in my Washington, D.C., address to check if I was eligible, and I was. But when I tried addresses of relatives and friends who live in various other locales, both in and around D.C. and as far-flung as Minnesota, not all I tried were eligible for the advertised services. No explanation was given as to why.

Those who are eligible, however, have three levels of access to choose from, starting with flat fees of $199.99 and topping out at $329.99. The lowest level of access allows users to watch live, out-of-market NFL games every Sunday, stream games on their computers, tablets or phones, get real-time stats and scores, and track favorite players.

The second level of access, which costs $239.99, does all that except instead of streaming to your mobile devices or computer, users can stream instead to their video game consoles.

The last and most expensive level of access allows users to do all of the above on a computer, mobile device or console, and also throws in Red Zone, which shows every touchdown from every game, and DirecTV Fantasy Zone, which gives live looks at fantasy plays.

I was wondering if someone more knowledgeable about the NFL could answer this for me. Why do the teams have different start dates for training camp? Why don't they all start on the same date?

I will not attest to have more NFL knowledge than you.

However, each Coach sets his start date. Newbies usually want as much camp time as possible. Vets know players hate camp.

Some franchises like the Cowgirls and Foreskins want the players to be in camp every day they can because they make money (or offer as perks to season ticket holders) when players are in camp and they use the "Circus" environment to make sales to the public.

IIRC, teams with a new HC get to report sooner (by set amount) if they prefer.

I will still be keeping my Direct TV subscription. The game comes in perfectly on my television. Streaming technology just isn’t quite there yet.
