Yeah they were pretty intent on taking a receiver it seems. Bright side: They didn't trade up for him??

Dan Miller couldn't be more right, plenty of time. The average human life span is in the mid 70s.

By NFL rule, Detroit receivers are not allowed to both "get open" and "catch the ball".

Lombardi: "There's nothing to say we won't have three tight ends on the field at times."

I should have just waited until after my classes to look at this. My poor students are going to wonder why I'm so angry on a beautiful, sunny Friday morning!

As I mentioned in the draft thread... Mayhew is no doubt hoping Ebron will be Detroit's Jimmy Graham; a combination WR/TE that allows for them to switch packages without changing personnel.

He better be right, because that's the ONLY way this pick will be worth it.

Ebron is a different player than Pettigrew. More of a vertical threat. Pettigrew still will have his role.

He has the speed to stretch the field and body control to make plays downfield, plus the burst and wiggle to produce after the catch. He's also a nightmare matchup for defensive coordinators. If you try to match up with a linebacker, he can separate underneath or get behind the coverage. If you try to match up with safety, he does a nice job of getting inside leverage and using his frame to box out.
Fuck! Drops too many?

The only nightmare here is for Lions fans.
