Too much of a distraction for middling at best QB play.
Just like Tebow or Manziel, but for different reasons. If Luke McCown was in AA for the Mets, nobody would give a shit. The perfect backup.

NFL defenses (or rule changes?) have adjusted to running QBs that took the league by storm (again?) in 2012.

Welp, we are just throwing around names here. Maybe 'someone else' would be a better option for a QB needy team.

If any of those teams were worth their salt, they would just draft the next TB#12. Easy.

All of the Clemson D-linemen are returning to school next year.
Damn, that slightly*** hurts as potentially two of them (Ferrell and Wilkins) were top 20 picks.

Two top 20 prospects that won’t be there.

Yeah, mistakenly posted the Ferrell/Austin news in the offseason thread the other day. Can’t believe Wilkins is staying too. Dabo’s got some Jedi mind tricks going on down there.

Yeah, I was bummed out about that as well. I was starting to excited about the possibility of the Lions possibly getting either Vea or Wilkens. With all of the Clemson linemen returning to school it would be a small miracle if Vea was there when the Lions pick now.

Bryce Love returning to Stanford.
That bumps all RBs not named Barkley up a spot.

Interesting development. I think Guice was ahead of him too.

Dammit. Pushes the OSU DEs up too. Fingers crossed.

Hubbard might move out of the Lions range given all the people going back. He would have been my fallback choice if all the other guys were off the board.

Little late...

Bryce Love will stay at Stanford

Stanford had a running back picked in the first round of the 2017 draft when Christian McCaffrey went to the Panthers, but it will be at least one year before the Cardinal have another back drafted that early.

Bryce Love’s father told the San Francisco Chronicle that his son will remain in Palo Alto for another season. Monday was the deadline for early entry into the draft.

Love was a Heisman finalist in 2017 after running for 2,118 yards despite missing one game with an ankle injury. Love averaged 8.1 yards per carry, which set a record for FBS running backs.

Love also averaged more than seven yards per carry in his first two seasons and another year of outsize production will leave him as the leading rusher in school history. It could also bump him up from Heisman finalist to Heisman winner ahead of the start of his professional career.

Running QB can only get you so far, fast defenses negate any advantage a running QB has. Checkout Vicks record against TB.

I usually don't use this adjective for defensive ends very often, but Hubbard is extremely agile for an edge rusher. He does not seem overly quick but the way he can change directions is impressive. I think it may have something to do with the fact he is a former safety.

It sounds like a lot of underclassmen are deciding to go one more year rather than risk dropping into the lower rounds of a deep draft.

IDK how deep it is for our needs. Maybe RB.
