Brian thinks the line (-8.5) is a typo. Comments maybe their factoring in an O'Korn start.

I like Jake Bentley, but Carolina's offense should struggle vs M's D. They lost their best WR for the season early on and aren't that explosive. Probably most similar to Iowa's offense, but in shotgun formations.

Yea, sounds like that -8.5 line is a typo. Even with O'Korn at QB, that would make me create a Odds Shark account if true.

Time to fly to Vegas and drop a few grand on M if that's true.
Shit. People don't watch Purdue at fucking Purdue. Who gives a shit.

Little schools, Dude. Teams that no matter how good they may be, will never see a shot at the Championship or a New Years Six Bowl.

The teams from the Sunbelt, Conference USA, MAC etc etc are excited over their games.

Part of the reason the South Alabama coach stepped down? No bowl game

These lesser bowls are important to the economies of the host cities, too.

Nothing wrong with them.

I'm not sure what Cody Russell is talking about when CMU played Purdue in the Motor City Bowl, the game drew 52K on Boxing Day. That was 5 or 6 years ago and Downtown Detroit wasn't near the attraction it is now. Expand your mind.

There was initially an erroneous report that U-M was an 8.5-point dog. Made zero sense.

Glad everyone (or 70% of the field) can get their reward for participating in the postseason.

Purdue was an 8 win team that year as their popularity was competent. Deserving of a bowl invite.

Are you a fun governor? I don't get your schtick. You go to Purdue and constantly downgrade their football program. Going to a bowl game helps their program. If you don't care, don't watch.

If they have 7 wins+ ? Sure, that’s a winning season.
Now when you get into the 5-7 or 6-6 territory... don’t deserve a postseason reward.
There is no satisfaction in being that bad and patted on the back for it. Let’s hang more “Playoff Appearance” banners at Ford Field, folks.

Michigan goes to the Outback Bowl
Purdue goes to the Captain Crunch Dilly Dilly Bowl. How great that both teams basically get rewarded the same thing.
Bowl games...

Yeah it's better for the program in the future to wear the hairshirt and stay home.

I don't get that either. Bowl games are immensely important on several levels.

I don't care if an 0-12 team gets an invite given the amount of work players put in during a season and that includes spring and fall camps. The kids get to go somewhere they've probably never been to and have fun for a week on somebody else's dime.

The bowls are a big deal for the local communities where they are held. An economic shot in the arm for them.

Bowl practices and another game to work on techniques.

All true Jeff, but some of us remember a time when it was hard to get into one of a handful of bowls game, which made it more of an achievement.
