I'm getting ready to pretend I'm irish for the night, heading to a St. Paddy's Day party, so I'm gonna miss the TV broadcast--it's on FoxSportsDetroit, channel 663 on DirecTV at 7:30.

Michigan fell behind 3-0 in the third, rallied and fell 3-2. They'll still be a #1 seed in the NCAA tourney. Hopefully in Green Bay.

Still the overall #2 seed. It was disappointing to not win the conference tourney but the loss to Western had absolutely zero effect on their NCAA tourney seeding and placement.

Almost midway thru the first-round game vs. Cornell and Michigan is struggling, down 2-1.

We scored first in the 1st period, Cornell tied it up, and we ended the period 28 seconds into a PP. When action resumed in the 2nd, we still had 1:32 with a man advantage, but gave up our first short-handed goal of the season to fall behind. We've had 2 un-cashed PP opps since, including a 2-man advantage for a bit, so it's now down to 9:06 to go in the 2nd as we start yet another PP opportunity

....and we're now 0-for-4 on the power play for the night :-(

we just killed a penalty sucessfully, then Cornell geets whistled for a 5-minute major w/ejection at the 5:08 mark of the 2nd, giving us a PP for practically the rest of the period

#^&&^%^&^*##$#$!!!! we give back the advantage with a 2-minute minor after just 10 seconds, so it's 4-on-4 hockey for 2 min, then we regain a PP for the next 2:50. Need some offense! Need a goal!!!

....and we literally wasted another PP chance, even had a 2-man advantage for an extended period of time, ended the period with the major done and about 20 seconds left in a minor to start the 3rd period.,

When the game resumes, our backs are against the wall to save the season. Michigan has to play the 3rd period like their lives depend upon it, or the season is over...

They have spent the rest of the time making Cornell look like the Red Wings.
