The $10 Optimist vs. Pessimist.

In the coming days I will start a poll. "What will the Lions record be"? All you need to do anytime before the 1st game of the season is predict their record at the end of the year.

If you would like to add to the mix. Just put in a post that you are in on the wager. The tie breaker will be the closest someone comes to predicting the total points scored by the Lions for the year. Put that in the post if you want to be in on the wager. At the end of the season, whoever wins, all others send that person $10. It is not a bet! We are just paying the winner for their time and effort in their research efforts. Winner can claim it on their taxes.

If you do not put in a post that you are in for the $10. You are not eligible as of the first game. I will keep record of her adds in on a daily basis and update the thread.

For the sake of clarity, I will be putting in the pole all possible records, ie; 0-16 thru 16-0.

I learned a long time ago.....never put any money on the Lions to win or lose. They'll tear your heart out either way.

Betting against them on the road would have been easy money for about the last 20 years.....Its the home games you dont want to touch either side.......

If I win just send the money to Deb to help with the board. But tell me so I can report it for tax purposes. If someone else wins, then I need a PM with the winner's address.

I'll have to do the research on this later. If it turns out that it would put the board or anyone else at risk, I'll delete or change the post but I'll still pay the winner.

I tried to word it as care fully as possible. Ill start the poll thread tomorrow. make your selection for the record and in a post, your point totals and if you are in/out. Some may want to complete for the heck of it.

Notice of winner at the end of the season can be post and loser PM winner.
