1967 Mustang coupe, 289CI, manual 3 speed, original survivor car, 52,000 miles. ORIGINAL owner is ready to sell. Perfect paint, interior. Navy blue, light/dark blue two tone interior. Been under a tarp for over 20 years. hmmmm. May not be able to pass this up. Seems like a rare find.

BIMMER84,
If I was you, it would have been sold before I posted the story it was for sale. Wish I was you.

Thanks Panoptes, I failed to mention it was under a tarp indoors and has no rust.
When it comes to $$$, I move slowly. Here is the kicker. The owner purchased this car PLUS a second one for his wife back in 67. His and Hers. Hers is an automatic, 289CI, maroon coupe with 90,000 miles. It has been repainted in its original color once. He wants to sell both. |

BIMMER84,
My first car was a 67 Fastback I'm a little impartial. The first car you mentioned should be bought with cashiers check by noon. IF anything, on a good purchase price, you can turn it for more money. You have the ball in your court, slam it home.

Cool Panoptes, a fastback is the pinnacle. I'll bet you wish you still had it. Well, after some more negotiation it is over, and I'm happy to say both are sitting in my garage. They both need a good clean up but you get the idea.

The survivor is definitely is the star. Brookie, that is what I plan to do. We will see how it works out.

Cool, Bim.
My first car was a 67 Mustang convertable, but it wasn't in near as good shape as those two cars.

Thanks everyone! I am excited about getting them cranked up. They have been sitting so long I need to do brakes, all fluids, hoses, belts, carb rebuilds, points, plugs etc., etc.
Ha! It's been a long time since I had to mess with points. Deac, I'm in East Tennessee. |

You may want to do more than that, if it sat that long it's quite possible you have rust inside the engine too, quite possibly your connecting rods are rusted.

Cruze looks pretty good.
No hatch or performance packages though. That mpg is pretty stellar. http://www.autoblog.com/2010/07/31/2...test/#comments

As quiet as a lexus they say. Impressive for a small budget mpg car. Super quiet is pretty hard to achieve in lighter weight mpg oriented cars.

Hey Bim....what you want for the other Mustang? My brother is looking for something in that era.
Oh and on a side note. Your garage is frickin sweet. Double deep stalls. Awesome.
